Not a true martini (as it contains neither gin nor vermouth)... this popular cocktail is said to have originated in Soho in the early 1980's and has been a firm favourite ever since.

At Chapter we use our organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified coffee as the base of our Espresso Martini.


A cocktail shaker (or you could use a container with a sealed lid instead)

A sieve and a cocktail strainer

A handful of ice cubes

A coupe glass, or glass of your choice!


Pour half of your pre-made cocktail mixture into your cocktail shaker, along with the ice.

Shake for 10 seconds, or until the shaker feels cold to the touch.

Using the sieve and strainer, double strain your cocktail into your glass.

Don't worry if you don't have any strainers - just try not to let any ice get into your drink!

Garnish your cocktail with a sprinkle of chocolate powder and three coffee beans.
